Typically, the thicker a metal is, the harder it is to bend in Greenbush Addition.
Not so with pipe rolling or round tube bending – at least, if you hope to maintain the shape of a pipe or tube.
Metal pipe is hollow. One error while bending, and … poof! The pipe crushes.
Thicker pipe and tube wall are more durable, so don’t crush as easily. In other words, successfully bending pipe or tube is eased by thicker stainless steel, unlike most other bending and rolling.
Still, round tube bending is an exceptional challenge, regardless of material thickness. Controlling distortion requires practiced control and precision. A pipe’s natural tendency is to bend into an egg or oval shape … if not crush outright.
Using dies is a practiced approach. The size of the die relies on a pipe’s outside diameter. Pipes come in a LOT of different diameters.
Being very literate in round tube bending, Max Weiss Company has an extensive library of pipe and tubing dies. In the hands of our metal bending craftsmen, Max Weiss Company can meet all your pipe rolling or bending needs in Greenbush Addition.
Max Weiss Company bends 1” to 24” pipe and tubing, both schedule 40 and 80. Our pipe and round tube bending know-how covers, for example, 1-1/4” SCH 40 Pipe Gr. A53 Rolled, to 14” SCH 40 Pipe Gr. A53 Rolled, to 18” SCH 80 Pipe Gr. A53 Rolled, to 2” SCH 40 Gr. A53 BLK Rolled, to 5” SCH 80 Gr. A53 BLK Rolled, to 24” SCH 80 Gr. A53 BLK Rolled.
More piping? Sure thing: 16” SCH. 100 Pipe GR. A120, or 16” SCH. 10 Pipe GR. API5-L, or 18” SCH. 120 Pipe GR. A120, or 18” SCH. 100 Pipe GR. A53, or 18” SCH. 80 Pipe GR. API5-L.
It doesn’t stop there in Greenbush Addition. Max Weiss Company is unmatched in its pipe-bending capabilities: 20” SCH. 10 Pipe GR. A120, or 20” SCH. 120 Pipe GR. A53, or 22” SCH. 20 Pipe GR. A120, or 22” SCH. 80 Pipe GR. A53, or 22” SCH. 120 Pipe GR. A106.
More pipe bending sizes … then onto tube bending: 24” SCH. 20 Pipe GR. A53, or 24” SCH. 20 Pipe GR. A106, or 24” SCH. 30 Pipe GR. API5-L.
Max Weiss Company’s pipe bending prowess is matched only by its tube bending capabilities:
1.25” O.D.-H.S.R. x .071 Wall A500 GR. B., or 1.75” O.D.-H.S.R. x .083 Wall A500 GR. B., or 2” O.D.-H.S.R. x .091 Wall A500 GR. B. or 2.75” O.D.-H.S.R. x .067 Wall A500 GR. B., or 12” O.D.-H.S.R. x .375 Wall A500 GR. B..
Whatever the tube size, Max Weiss Company will bend it to ultimate perfection: 1” O.D.-H.S.R x .133” Wall A513 GR. B., or 1.5” O.D.-H.S.R. x .062 Wall A513 GR. B., or 1.75” O.D.-H.S.R. x .091 Wall A513 GR. B., or 2.5” O.D.-H.S.R. x .083 Wall A513 GR. B. or 3” O.D.-H.S.R. x .216 Wall A513 GR. B.
Yes, even more sizes in Max Weiss Company’s tube bending repertoire: 3.5” O.D.-H.S.R. x .10 Wall A500 GR. B., or 6.625” O.D.-H.S.R. x .10 Wall A500 GR. B., or 10.25” O.D.-H.S.R. x .10 Wall A500 GR. B., or 12.75” O.D.-H.S.R. x .25 Wall A500 GR. B., or 18” O.D.-H.S.R. x .25 Wall A500 GR. B.
